Ingredients:
- 1½ cups water
- 2 tea bags or loose-leaf tea
- Fresh ginger (½ inch, chopped or grated)
- 4 green cardamom pods
- ½ tsp fennel seeds
- 2 peppercorns
- Chai masala (store-bought is absolutely fine)
- Sugar or jaggery, to taste
- ½ cup milk of choice
Directions:
- Start the Brew: In a saucepan, add the tea, boiling water and the aromatics: Ginger, cardamom pods, fennel seeds, peppercorns and 1/2 tsp of chai masala
- Bring to life: Let everything come to a rolling boil — your kitchen should start smelling incredible.
- Sweeten & soften: Add sugar or jaggery, followed by the milk of your choice.
- Simmer: Bring back to the boil, then simmer gently for 2 minutes.
- Strain & serve: Pour into your favourite cup and enjoy with NALO Masala Nuts.
