Masala Chaat

Ingredients:

  • Red onion
  • Lime
  • Red chilli powder
  • Papadoms
  • Chickpeas (we swear by boldbeanco)
  • NALO Masala Nuts 
  • Yogurt
  • Tamarind sauce
  • Mint chutney
  • Tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • Cucumber (finely chopped)
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Fresh coriander
  • Chaat masala

Directions:

  1. Pickle your onions
    Finely chop the red onion and season with salt, lime juice and red chilli powder. Set aside in a jar to pickle while you prep the rest.
  2. Prep the base
    Lightly crush a few papadoms into a bowl to create a crunchy base.
  3. Layer it up
    Add:
  • Your favourite chickpeas (we’re loyal to boldbeanco)
  • A generous handful of NALO Masala Nuts 
  • Pickled onions
  • A dollop of yoghurt
  • Tamarind sauce
  • Mint chutney
  • Finely chopped tomatoes & cucumber
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Fresh coriander leaves

 

       4. Finish strong
           Sprinkle with chaat masala and give everything a really good mix.

       5. Serve & enjoy
       Best shared, best messy, and even better with a good drink in hand
