MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER DIVYA

I’m Divya, founder of NALO and like many ideas, this one started in a completely unexpected place: a hospital ward.

I was a clinical pharmacist, constantly on my feet, running between patients…and completely unsatisfied with the snacks on offer.

Now, I’m Indian, so bland just doesn’t work for me. I started roasting my own spiced nuts for my shifts. Something nourishing,
something exciting, something that gave me a moment of joy in the chaos.

Fast forward, and I’ve swapped prescriptions for production runs and now, NALO snacks sit proudly in places like Harrods & luxury hotels across the UK.

As makers in today’s world, it’s important to know that our products are doing good, as well as tasting good.

We focus on processes that ensure the most nourishment for the least environmental impact, which means putting every step of our production under the microscope. Our efforts include partnerships with like-minded farmers and makers, using solar energy in our UK-based manufacturing, and choosing recyclable packaging - actions that all contribute to a lower carbon footprint.

Sourced from almonds grown on Californian family-owned farms in line with the California Almond Sustainability Program, to the finest cashews selected through our Positive Release System, as well as directly procured Wild Italian truffles, cold-pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oils and Shropshire's oak-smoked oils, our supply chain champions sustainability and quality at every juncture, proudly made in the UK.
